‘…’ Flickr user insect54 has set up Autografik, a pool dedicated to graphic design applied to motor vehicles. With a focus on modernist corporate identities of the 60’s and 70’s. It’s all so gorgeous.

Working almost for a month now as the art director for the ozon magazine, I had the chance to revisit a number of its elements and redesign a couple of things.
As a new team, we tried to rebrand the magazine and rethink about its content, visual communication and read flow.
As a first step, I worked with the previous art director Dimitris Kourkoutis and studied the logo, giving it a bolder look and a more unique treatment in typography. Playing with the most powerful (IMO) element of the logo, the letter Z and transforming it to a symbol expanding to different directions of the horizontal stability of the word while creating a sense of calmness with the rest of the elements consisting of full circles and balanced curves.
Soon, we are going to be updating all the visual communication of ozon magazine and putting the new logo on covers, stickers posters and the web, I really hope we will manage to promote the new face of ozon.
You can visit the ozon website at www.ozonweb.com and see the online version of the magazine.

The city of Melburne has a new identity build from Landor Associates in Sydney. I really liked all the brand and the resulting simplicity of the project all coming from a quite complicated process and concept.
Don’t really know if I like the idea of a city’s branding but I guess our times demand it and it is a trend that will likely stay forever. In any way, results like these should be supported and should be seen more often!
You can read and see more about the identity on Landor Associates’ website and judge for yourselves.
