Droog in Athens
Droog is coming to Athens apparently, for a great large exhibition. Can’t wait!

The exhibition is organised by Droog Athens workshop-Dionisis Sotovikis Mariolopoulos-Kanaginis Foundation for the Environmental Sciences in collaboration with Benaki Museum;It is opening its doors to the public on June 3rd, after 20.00 and will be the largest Droog exhibition in the world since 2007.

Design Walk 2010.
Last night, we (as ozon) attended the press conference for this year’s Design Walk. The exhibition will be taking place on the 5th, 6th and 7th of February in Athens, Greece along with workshops, movies projections and talks. This year’s theme is Poles Apart, a study on ‘a unique visual insight intro the creative process - as well as its curious contradictions’ curated by London based studio Double Decker.
Stronger than previous years, the Design Walk 2010 seems very promising and we are really looking forward to it.

Last weekend, we had the chance to visit Patra and see the installations of George Maraziotis for his exhibition 5εποχές. Five different rooms dedicated to the 4+1 seasons as well as a room with concept drawings and ideas.
Giorgos always surprises me with his unique and very personal style that spans evenly from his drawings and sketches to his photographs, videos and installations.
They treated us great and it will sure be a day to remember. Unfortunately these are the only photos saved on my phone so I post them all here although I remember some great ones that are lost somewhere between my iPhone and my computer..
Ο Δήμος Πατρέων, η Αντιδημαρχία Πολιτισμού και το ΔΗΠΕΘΕ Πάτρας, παρουσιάζουν τη νεα παραγωγή του Γιώργου Μαραζιώτη στον χώρο του παλαιού Αρσακείου Πατρών
Οι ΠΕΝΤΕ ΕΠΟΧΕΣ αποτελούν το δεύτερο προσωπικό project του νεαρού εικαστικού (μετά την ατομική του έκθεση INSIDE σε Πάτρα και Αθήνα) και είναι η πρώτη φορά που ασχολείται με εικαστικές εγκαταστάσεις (installations).
Με αφορμή τις τέσσερις εποχές και έχοντας κάνει έρευνα πάνω σε ζωγράφους (Τσαρούχης, Dali, Francis Bacon), μοντέρνους εικαστικούς (Olafur Eliasson), σκηνοθέτες (David Lynch), αλλά κυρίως προσπαθώντας να δώσει τη δική του οπτική στη σημερινή –ελληνική κυρίως- πραγματικότητα, δημιουργεί 5 διαφορετικές, μεγάλου μεγέθους εγκαταστάσεις.
