Thesixtyone is a great platform for musicians, a place where they can advertise their music, sell merchandise and contact their fans. Great idea, fantastic navigation and interface.
On thesixtyone, new artists make music and listeners decide what’s good. We’re nurturing a growing ecosystem where talented folks can sell songs and merchandise directly to their fans. Unlike a record or distribution deal where they only make $1-2 per album (if they ever get paid, that is), artists on thesixtyone make at least $7 per album and are paid every 30 days — no wait for recoupment and no complex royalty schemes!
We’re named after Highway 61, a U.S. route that runs along the Mississippi River and marks the origin of American music culture. Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan and B.B. King rode the 61. Elvis grew up in the housing projects along it. Highway 61 was the road by which people left their homes to take their music to the world.

‘First Spring’ film by Prada.
‘First Spring’ is Prada’s latest collaboation with pioneering Chinese artist Yang Fudong.
Featuring young men gathered in Shanghai, dressed in Prada menswear, the black and white film portrays a timeless, dreamlike realm where anything is possible.
Inspired by the Chinese adage that ‘the whole year’s work depends on a good start in spring’, this bold and beautiful film represents an exciting new direction fo Prada’s visual communications at the start of this decade.

Another poster for a party, this time the 14th celebration of the DAZZLE party with music from Mikele & Leon Segka (Ntrop). Although this is a rejected option for the poster, I thought of posting it here as a reference.
Final artwork and photos are coming soon!
Sad day indeed today as we just read this:
“It is a sad day today but due to low sales globally in analogue turntables a decision to stop production has been made on Technics Turntables. For Australia this means we will receive our last shipment in March”
