We spend a good two weeks going from one side of the island to the other end, letting go. We need to go back to the Island, as someone said.

Η ιδέα ήρθε ξαφνικά. Ο @hellopanos ανέβασε ένα βράδυ μια φωτογραφία στην οποία έκανα ένα σχόλιο. Το επόμενο πρωί συνέχεια με ανάλογα tweets χωρίς κείμενο. Μόνο φωτογραφίες. Μου φάνηκε σαν κάλεσμα και απάντησα ξανά ψάχνοντας να βρω από που είναι οι εικόνες. Είχε πλάκα.
Είναι απλό. Όποτε βρίσκεσαι μπροστά σε ένα κτήριο ή σημείο στην Αθήνα που έχει ενδιαφέρον, φωτογράφισέ το και ανέβασέ το στο twitter με hashtag #athensquiz.

NetNewsWire & Haaus
I had been in love with Google Reader for long long time for all my RSS needs. No real need for much extras really, just a simple yet nicely presentable RSS reader would do it for me and everything was 100% right as soon as I discovered the Helvetica theme for Google Reader.
Today though, jumping from post to post, I had the chance to drop on Antonio Carusone’s work (yes I am a big fan of his fantastic Grid System website) and his themes for NetNewsWire found on LegiStyles website.
It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the Haaus theme and totally abandon Google Reader for a new exciting era of RSS reading!
You still need a Google Reader account, so don’t be that disappointed. Divorce doesn’t come that easy..
Steve Reid
Four Tet (22/04/10):
My great friend and musical collaborator Steve Reid died last week after a tough battle with cancer. He was a totally incredible musician and I’ve had some of the best times ever hanging out with him and playing music. I really can’t believe he’s gone and will miss him always.
Gilles Peterson was also a good friend of Steve’s so we got together a few days ago and have recorded a special podcast with lots of Steve’s music as a tribute. You can check it out here:
Droog in Athens
Droog is coming to Athens apparently, for a great large exhibition. Can’t wait!

The exhibition is organised by Droog Athens workshop-Dionisis Sotovikis Mariolopoulos-Kanaginis Foundation for the Environmental Sciences in collaboration with Benaki Museum;It is opening its doors to the public on June 3rd, after 20.00 and will be the largest Droog exhibition in the world since 2007.

Amateurboyz Recordings
Five years on and the Amateurboyz are expanding once more. With similar enthusiasm and excitement as previous years, the randomness in selection, DIY mood and personalized graphic aesthetic will continue, this time in order to begin a record label – “Amateur Recordings”. Look out for their first release making its way to stores.
I think I have written about Phresh.gr some time ago in this blog. The idea started as an inspiration blog of four (1, 2, 3, 4) greek creatives and soon a fifth one joined in and a sixth one too!

Μια πρωτοβουλία του Οργανισμού «Ο Κόσμος της Αθήνας» σε συνεργασία με το Δήμο Αθηναίων αλλάζει τα παλιά παγκάκια της Αθήνας και προσθέτει νέα συμβάλλοντας στη βελτίωση της ζωής στην πόλη!
Το Athens Bench Mark αφορά δύο διαγωνισμούς και ένα εθελοντικό πρόγραμμα:
Διαγωνισμός βιομηχανικού σχεδίου Athens Bench Mark ως τις 6 Απριλίου: είναι ο διαγωνισμός που θα δώσει το σχέδιο για το νέο παγκάκι της Αθήνας. Το κοινό θα αναδείξει τα καλύτερα 100 σχέδια και η κριτική επιτροπή θα αποφασίσει για την τελική τριάδα έργων, οι δημιουργοί των οποίων θα λάβουν και τα χρηματικά έπαθλα. Ένα τουλάχιστον σχέδιο θα υλοποιηθεί και θα παραχθεί μαζικά ώστε να επιπλώσει την Αθήνα!
A walk in Athens.
Today we went on a beautiful architectural walk organised by a small team of individuals. Really inspiring and informative, on a perfect day for a wonder. All I can say is we really felt like being somewhere else, maybe a place in the past or maybe somewhere completely different than everyday reality.
Next one should be in a month or so; I shall let you know!
